I am a C-R-A-Z-Y football fan, and generally enjoy watching games even when my Ravens aren’t playing. But unless my guys are headed to the big game, my priorities and attention are focused on one thing: Snacks. Healthy snacks.
And a lot of them.
Because at the end of the game, if the Ravens aren’t the victors, at least my stomach is full!
Some of these snacks are my own recipes, and some were created by other favs in the wellness scene. I realize not everyone at a Super Bowl party may be into mixing up from the standard pretzels, popcorn, brownies, beer, etc. In fact, you may even feel kinda weird branching out and bringing something different. I promise you though that these recipes are so tasty, no one will even notice that they aren’t on your cliché game-day party menu!
Most of these are my recipes, and yes–some made easier by help of the incredible Whole Foods (like the spicy pineapple salsa). But you can certainly do all of these recipes, in entirety, in your own kitchen! I also couldn’t resist including a really roasted edamame and chickpeas recipe that my friend, Jamie, created (thanks, girl!).
Jamie is a registered dietitian and the owner of the lovely company, WhollyNourishedRD. Definitely give her Instagram a follow! She is always posting the most gorgeous pics of new treats to try!
So without further adieu, here’s a list of the Varsity team… the real game winners, y’all!

Let’s be honest. The Ravens aren’t playing. I’ve already cried my purple tears, and have turned my attention to baseball. I’d like to not offend any of my readers who hail from either New England (like my husband- gasp!) or Philly, but if there was a way for both teams to lose…
I’ll quit while I’m ahead and go enjoy some snacks ; )
What are your plans for the big game? Any favorite treats or snacks? How do YOU cope with living with a Patriots fan? Inquiring minds need to know! Comment below and fill a sista in!
